Finca Los Conejos began in 2014 in the jurisdiction of El Carrizal, a few kilometers before reaching Santa Rosa de Lima, as a family investment, taking the name of Los Conejos, after four pets that were given to the family and that were sent to the Farm in order for them to be in a more appropriate environment for their growth and development. Upon exploring the land in more detail, a coffee plantation was discovered with astonishment, which is why it was decided to seek immediate advice to rescue the crop, providing the coffee trees with the appropriate fertilizers and foliar products based on satellite soil studies, to carry out the amendments. correct and achieve the best fruits that the coffee trees could produce.
Initially there were 5 coffee apples planted, with which the cherry began to be processed as Natural Coffee, of the Catuai varieties in 90% and Bourbon in 10%, with which we have managed to achieve a good cup profile, and in In the seven years that we have participated in the Anacafé Regional Competition, Finca Los Conejos has always managed to position itself within the Top 10 of the best coffees in Region IV, which includes the departments of Santa Rosa, Jalapa and Jutiapa.
This has motivated us to continue investing in Finca Los Conejos and by 2020, despite the circumstances derived from the COVID-19 pandemic, we managed to plant a total of 68,160 coffee plants of varieties that can give excellent cup quality. such as: Geisha Rojo, of which there is already a small plantation growing, Borbón Amarillo, Pacamara Rojo, Pacamara Amarillo and Mondo Novo Rojo.
